"I'm writing this October 2022.  About fifteen years ago I had decided to paint the U.S. Flag.  I've been working on it every year since.  It started out very two dimensional, flat oil paint.  Over the next several years I moved about, and it came along in every moving truck.  I would take it out occasionally and paint another stripe or star.  October, 2015, I finally decided to finish the painting to remember democracy before it would be destroyed by Donald Trump and his minions.  This painting is to remember democracy for all people.
